Nail guide for your Nha Trang trip

Nail guide for your Nha Trang trip

How to pick a colour, a shape and a service, what nail art costs, and how to look after your nails by the sea.

Standing in front of 365 colours with no plan makes choosing slow. It goes faster in order: find the colours that suit your skin, match them to what you are doing this week, then pick a shape and a service. This guide follows that order, and each section can be read on its own.

It is written for guests who are in Nha Trang for a few days, so it pays attention to strong sun, sea water and the time you have. Prices come from the Miso Nails Room price list and include the current 20% discount.

Seven nail shapes, explained

You don't need to remember the names. Point at the one you like, and your own nail length will tell you what is realistic without extensions.

Almond

Slim sides and a soft point. Makes fingers look longer and needs some length.

Mountain peak

A tall, sharp point. A statement shape, usually done with extensions.

Square

Flat tip and straight sides. Clean and modern, and good for showing French tips.

Round

Follows the fingertip. The easiest shape for short nails and busy hands.

Squoval

A square with its corners softened. Stronger at the tip and hard to go wrong with.

Oval

An even curve from side to side. Gentle and suits most hands.

Coffin

Tapered sides with a flat tip. Dramatic, and gives a lot of room for art.

Without extensions, your natural length limits the shape. Short nails work best as round or squoval.

What nail art costs

Keeping gel nice by the sea

Keeping gel nice by the sea

Gel often lasts around two to three weeks, but it depends on your nails and what you do with your hands. On a beach holiday these habits help most.

Rinse after the sea and pool
Salt water and chlorine dry out the skin around your nails. Rinse your hands with fresh water when you come out.
Use oil on your cuticles
A little cuticle oil at night keeps the edges from lifting and looks better in photos.
Wipe off sunscreen
Some sunscreens and repellents dull a glossy top coat, so wipe your nails after applying them.
Don't peel gel off
Peeling takes a layer of nail with it. If a set is ending, have it removed properly instead.
Use your fingertips, not your nails
Opening cans and suitcase zips with your nails is the most common cause of chips, especially with long shapes.
Pale colours age better
As nails grow, the base line is harder to see on pale colours. Deep shades show the gap sooner.
Repeat 2 or 3 details
Ten different nails can look busy. Repeating a few elements looks more finished.

How to plan your visit

  1. Save a few photos

Keep 2 or 3 designs you like, and note the colours and how many nails you want decorated.

  2. Leave enough time

A simple set takes about an hour and full art can take more than 2 hours, so don't book right before a tour pick-up.

  3. Message before evening visits

Walk-ins are welcome, but evenings get busy. A short message on your usual app helps you avoid a wait.

  4. Show the driver the map pin

The salon is in an alley near Lotte Mart, so the Google Maps pin works better than the street number.

Questions about choosing nails

Questions about choosing nails
What nail colour suits a beach holiday?

Coral and apricot look brighter in strong sun, and milky or pale shades go with most outfits and photos. If you are unsure, try a different colour on each hand and look at them outside.

Which nail shape is best for short nails?

Round and squoval suit short nails best because they follow the fingertip. Almond, coffin and stiletto shapes usually need extensions.

What is the difference between gel and jelly gel?

Basic gel gives one solid colour. Jelly gel is sheer, so it looks lighter and glossier and shows some of the natural nail.

How much is nail art in Nha Trang at Miso?

After 20% off, art is 48,000–72,000 VND per nail, and a full set is 480,000–720,000 VND depending on the design.

Can I bring my own design photo?

Yes. Bring a picture or send it before you come. Your technician works from it and can tell you the price.

Are stiletto nails practical when travelling?

They look striking, but zips, phone typing and contact lenses all get harder. For a trip with lots of activity, a shorter almond or squoval is easier.
